World Premiere! Podcasts We Made

Here is the debut episode of the brand-new podcast, Podcasts We Made. It's a spinoff the Things We Made family, along with Thursdays We Made, T-Shirts We Made (coming soon!), and Mistakes we Made, which is actually mostly about various decisions regarding higher education that we won't get into now. Our first podcast was originally a whopping ninety minutes long, but the second half got lost in the process of trying to cut it into two pieces, the details of which will be discussed at length on Mistakes We Made.

The first show was recorded on October 1st, and features Joey Devine, Jesse Fernandez, and Sean Keane. It was recorded in a hotel room in New York City, right about the time a friend of ours, Little Steven, was putting together a record of artists against apartheid. It's a song written about a man, in a shantytown, outside of Johannesburg. A man who is sick of looking down the barrel of white South Africa. A man who is at the point where he is ready to take up arms against his oppressor. A man who has lost faith in the peacemakers of the West. While they argue. And while they fail to support a man like Bishop Tutu, and his requests for economic sanctions against South Africa. Am I bugging you? Don't mean to bug...Oh wait, that's U2's "Silver and Gold". This podcast was recorded in a living room in San Francisco very late at night, and about half of what we lost was giggling, so you're better off. Enjoy.
